Hello Visitors! We have had a busy and exciting month. We learned about different types of shapes and hearts and explored a taco and burger food truck. The children had so much fun going into the food truck to serve food to their friends. We have enjoyed exploring beautiful pretend flowers and sharing them with each other. The last two weeks we have been learning about musical instruments and parades. We had special visitors who came to share their instruments with us and allowed us to listen to the different sounds. We explored Mardi Gras music in the “Music Exploration Zone” in the classroom. On Mardi Gras we invited our families to join in a parade with our home made shakers down the halls of our school. We we have had a wonderful month! We have spent January learning about cold weather animals, coffee shops, shapes and creatures. They created penguins, shape creatures and were able to make choices about their creatures. Everyone is continuing to learn new signs and words throughout the day. We are still learning more about playing with our peers and new friendships are developing. We have been spending our recess time in the small playground and this has helped our little friends to develop better relationships with the peers in our class. It’s been lovely to see! Have a wonderful weekend! Ms. Jeanine and Ms. Sharon Hello Visitors! We have had a fun November and December. We have learned about pumpkins, turkeys, winter trees and ornaments. We so enjoyed getting to see all the parents who came to Family Feast and the gingerbread decorating. The children are learning to sit in group times with their peers and how to answer questions asked of them during reading activities. They are all doing so well! We hope you all have a wonderful winter break and cannot wait to see everyone in January! Hello visitors, We have had a busy month. We have learned about apples, pumpkins, farm animals and nocturnal animals. We took a trip to the farm and played with a “chicken coop” in our classroom. The children have been working on their art skills as well. We trick or treated and the children had a blast! We also harvested some basil from our classroom garden that we grew from seeds. The children voted to make pasta salad with it and they helped assemble it. We have 3 new friends and our classroom is nearly full. We have been learning how to play with the toys in centers and with our peers. Everyone is learning the signs and names of all our friends and we are working on communicating with each other as well. It’s been a wonderful month! Ms. Jeanine and Ms. Sharon Hello Visitors! We have made it through a whole month of school! We have learned about the routines of being in school and everyone is doing so well! We learned about our families and began our Apple unit. Everyone is playing so well with their peers and has adjusted to Frankie Lemmon amazingly. Here are some pictures from the first month! Ms. Jeanine and Ms. Sharon Hello!
We have had a great couple days getting into the swing of things in the Pineapples classroom. Both returning students and new were able to join in the routine and had a great time. On Friday we started our classroom garden. They helped scoop the potting soil and fill the pots with dirt. They worked on using their pointer finger and thump together (pincer grasp) to place carrot and basil seeds in the pots. They will help water these plants and when we can harvest them, they will help create a food dish with them! Ms. Sharon and I are looking forward to a great year with your sweet children! Have a a wonderful weekend! Ms. Jeanine Happy fall everyone! We have been having so much fun lately. We have done some really cool cooking activities including cooking gluten free soup INSIDE of a pumpkin and making gluten free pasta salad with fresh basil from our garden. We have brussel sprouts and radishes growing now. We have been exploring centers and learning to play with our friends and have a new friend in our class now! Enjoy the pictures!
